Adelaide has a wonderful cheap public transport system consisting of buses, trams, and trains. There are free tram and bus services for transporting people around the city. Some of our field trip locations are within easy walking distance of our city location and include: the South Australian Museum, Art Gallery of South Australia, Migration Museum, Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Zoo, River Torrens Linear Trail, Adelaide Botanical Garden, National Wine Center, Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Center, Adelaide Central Market, Chinatown, Adelaide Festival Centre, and North Adelaide.
Other locations can be reached using the public transport system and include: Cleland Wildlife Park, Belair National Park, Handorf, Living Kaurna Cultural Center, Glenelg beach, Brighton beach, and the wine regions of McLaren Vale and the world famous Barossa Valley. Australian football is unique to Australia and Adelaide is home to two of the professional teams that play from April to September in the Australian Football League: the Adelaide Football Club and the Port Adelaide Football Club. Getting to an aussie football game at Adelaide Oval is a must for this trip.
